Turkish Airlines (THY) celebrated the 30th anniversary of its flights between Manchester and Istanbul. Launched in 1995, these services have built a cultural and commercial bridge between the two cities while contributing to the airline’s global growth.
Today, THY connects Manchester to Istanbul with 28 weekly flights, offering passengers from North West England seamless connections to over 300 destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas with four daily flights. This extensive network provides travelers in the region with more options for business, leisure, and connecting journeys.
The strong link between Manchester and Istanbul goes beyond passenger transport, boosting the local economy, tourism, and cultural exchanges. THY’s presence also helps Manchester secure a stronger position on the international aviation map.
This milestone was celebrated on October 1 at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester. The event showcased Turkish culture with live music and traditional cuisine, while THY’s award-winning flying chefs offered guests an unforgettable experience.
THY officials emphasized that their success on the Manchester route will continue to grow in the future, highlighting that expanding global connections and providing the highest quality service to passengers remain top priorities.
