Qatar Airways Aircraft Makes Emergency Landing Due to Cockpit Windshield Crack

A Qatar Airways Boeing 777 operating the Kuala Lumpur–Doha flight made an emergency landing in Bangalore after a cockpit windshield crack was detected.

A Qatar Airways Boeing 777-300 operating the Kuala Lumpur–Doha service diverted to Bangalore after a crack was detected in the cockpit windshield while cruising in Indian airspace. The aircraft landed safely.

The Boeing 777-300, registered A7-BAC, was performing flight QR-853 from Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) to Doha (Qatar) when it encountered an emergency near Bangalore, India.

While cruising at approximately FL360 (36,000 feet), the cockpit crew reported a crack in the windshield. Following safety procedures, the crew decided to divert to Bangalore.

Around 25 minutes later, the aircraft made a smooth landing on runway 27L at Bangalore Airport. No injuries were reported.

Qatar Airways maintenance teams are carrying out technical inspections of the aircraft, while alternative arrangements were made for passengers to continue their journeys.
