Pegasus Airlines aims to enter the Slovenian market in 2026 by launching flights to the capital city, Ljubljana. With this new route, Pegasus will offer an affordable and alternative connection option for passengers travelling between Turkey and Central Europe.
Plans are underway for the Sabiha Gökçen Airport – Ljubljana Airport route. Once flights begin, Pegasus will create a new option that increases competition on this highly demanded route among Turkish travellers.
Currently, Turkish Airlines (THY) operates regular flights from Istanbul to Ljubljana and remains the most preferred carrier on this route. With Pegasus launching its flights, the air transport network between the two countries is expected to expand, leading to increased passenger traffic.
If the plans are implemented, Ljubljana will become Pegasus’s eighth destination in the former Yugoslavia region. Pegasus Airlines already operates regular flights to Belgrade, Pristina, Podgorica, Sarajevo, Skopje, Tuzla, and Zagreb.
