Suspicious Situation on Board: SunExpress Pilot Returns to İzmir!

A SunExpress Boeing 737 MAX aircraft operating the Dalaman–Edinburgh flight made an emergency landing at İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport due to a technical concern. No injuries were reported.

The Boeing 737 MAX passenger aircraft, registered as TC-SMB and operated by SunExpress, took off from Dalaman for Edinburgh, Scotland, on flight #QX3688. However, shortly after take-off, the aircraft changed its route and headed towards İzmir due to an as-yet-undetermined issue.

Aircraft Landed Safely

It was learned that the pilots diverted to İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport due to a suspected technical problem or emergency situation. In a statement made by SunExpress officials, it was reported that the aircraft landed safely and that the necessary technical inspections were initiated following the incident.

Company representatives also stated that the passengers and crew were in good health. Technical assessments regarding the cause of the incident are ongoing.
