Israeli Airstrike on Tehran: Military Industrial Facilities Hit by Over 60 Warplanes

The escalating military tension between Israel and Iran reached a new level overnight. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced it had carried out a large-scale air operation targeting military industrial facilities in Iran’s capital, Tehran.

Over 60 Aircraft, More Than 120 Precision Munitions

In a statement shared on its social media channels, the IDF reported that the operation involved more than 60 fighter jets and over 120 precision-guided munitions were used to strike designated targets.

According to the IDF, the main objective of the operation was to weaken Iran’s military production infrastructure. No official statement has yet been released by Iranian authorities regarding the attack.

Explosions and Power Outages Reported in Tehran

Local sources reported multiple explosions across Tehran throughout the night, accompanied by widespread power outages in certain areas. Although air defense systems were reportedly active in the targeted zones, they were said to be ineffective against the heavy bombardment.

Four Iranian Drones Intercepted

In a follow-up statement, the Israeli military also confirmed that four unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran into Israeli airspace during the night were successfully intercepted and neutralized.

Regional Tensions on the Rise

The strike, described as part of Israel’s ongoing military campaign named “Rising Lion,” signals a new threshold in the ongoing Middle East conflict. Analysts warn that an Iranian retaliation is highly likely, potentially pushing the region closer to a broader war.
