CANiK, a leading company in the Turkish defense industry, continued its export growth in 2024, achieving overseas sales of $172 million.
The flagship brand of Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS) Group, CANiK, successfully met its export goals in 2024 with its high value-added products designed to meet the highest security standards.
According to data released by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), CANiK’s exports rose from $136 million the previous year to $172 million in 2024, marking a 27% increase. Additionally, SYS’s sales revenues from Turkey-based production grew by 28%, rising from $148 million to $189 million.
With these robust export figures, CANiK reinforced its leadership in the defense industry in 2024. Meanwhile, the Group transitioned to consolidated revenue accounting for 2025, covering its operations in the U.S. and the United Kingdom. The consolidated revenue of the Group companies for 2025 has been budgeted at $250 million, with $200 million of this expected to come from Turkey-based production.
Through its exports, CANiK has successfully met the needs of allied and friendly nations while supporting Turkey’s high-tech advancements in defense industry development.
Cahit Utku Aral, General Manager of SYS Group – CANiK, expressed pride in exceeding the export targets set for 2024:

While Turkey’s defense industry exports saw over a 22% growth in product sales (and 29% including defense service sales) compared to the previous year, we, as SYS Group, achieved a 27% increase in product export sales in 2024 with our CANiK brand, sharing in this success. This accomplishment not only signifies our contribution to Turkey’s economy but also reflects the support we provide to our allied and friendly nations.
