Corendon Airlines Targets 20% Growth for Summer 2026

Corendon Airlines marks its 20th year with ambitious 2026 growth plans: capacity increases on flights from Germany and Austria, record expansion in Spain and Egypt, a new Frankfurt office, and the addition of Sharm El Sheikh to the network.

Corendon Airlines Prepares for 2026 with Record Growth Plans in Its 20th Year

Corendon Airlines is strengthening its growth trajectory in its 20th year, preparing to enter 2026 with ambitious plans. Aiming to offer holidaymakers a longer season, more flights, and new destinations with an expanding travel network, the airline held its traditional industry gathering “Get Together 2025” on 17 September in Amsterdam. The event brought together representatives from Europe’s leading tour operators, agencies, and airports, where announcements were made on capacity increases for flights from Germany and Austria, new destinations, a new Corendon Airlines office in Frankfurt, and strong collaborations within the tourism industry.

With 20 years of experience contributing to the tourism and aviation industries, Corendon Airlines continues to pursue its growth targets with determination. The airline’s newly announced plans for the 2026 season present significant opportunities for both passengers and industry stakeholders. A notable increase in capacity on flights departing from Germany and Austria, the addition of new routes, and closer cooperation with tour operators form the cornerstones of Corendon Airlines’ new strategy.

Strengthening in Germany and Austria

During the 2026 summer season, covering the period from April to October, Corendon Airlines plans to increase capacity on Germany-departing flights by around 20% and on Austria-departing flights by around 30%. While maintaining current levels in Switzerland due to runway works, the airline targets growth in the UK and nearly doubling capacity in Poland.

Record Growth for Spain and Egypt

The new capacity increases will also be reflected in destinations. While single-digit growth is expected on flights to Turkey, seat capacity to Spain is planned to rise by 90% and to Egypt by more than 150%. Flights to Greece are set to grow by 12%, with the Crete route standing out in this market.

10 Aircraft Across Four German Bases

In summer 2026, Corendon Airlines will deploy a total of 10 aircraft across its strongholds in Germany: Düsseldorf, Hanover, Cologne/Bonn, and Nuremberg. With nearly double the number of aircraft compared to 2025, the airline’s 35-strong fleet will be utilised more efficiently.

New Office in Frankfurt

To support its growth strategy in Germany, Corendon Airlines has opened a new office at Frankfurt Airport within the House of Logistics and Mobility (HOLM). With this move, the airline aims to strengthen its presence in the German market through an expanding team and robust sales partnerships.

“We Expect Around 20% Growth Across All Markets”

Christian Hein, Director of Sales & Marketing at Corendon Airlines, outlined the 2026 targets as follows:

“In summer 2026, we expect approximately 20% growth across all markets. In particular, we foresee an increase of up to 45% in the second quarter. Strategically, our most important step will be to strengthen our four German bases with additional aircraft. Our successful performance over the last three years has provided us with a solid foundation, allowing us to move forward confidently with new investments.”

More Frequencies on Key Routes

Growth will focus on popular holiday destinations such as Antalya, Heraklion-Crete, and Hurghada. Corendon Airlines will increase the frequency of its Hurghada flights from Nuremberg, Düsseldorf, and Cologne/Bonn from three to five per week. In addition, many routes that were operated only for a short period in 2025 will run throughout the summer season in 2026. Newly added to the flight network is the Münster/Osnabrück – Heraklion route.

Sharm El Sheikh in the Winter Programme

For the 2025/2026 winter season, Corendon Airlines is adding the popular holiday destination Sharm El Sheikh to its network. Starting from November 2025, flights to Sharm El Sheikh will operate from Düsseldorf, Hanover, and Nuremberg on Tuesdays and Fridays, offering holidaymakers a new alternative.
