Syrian Airlines is resuming civil aviation operations after the war by initiating direct flights with Turkey. According to an official statement from the company, direct flights will be operated every Tuesday between Aleppo International Airport and Istanbul Airport starting from July 8, 2025.
Flights on the new route are planned to be scheduled regularly on a weekly basis. Passengers can access details about flight times and reservations through the official website of Syrian Airlines and authorized sales offices.
SIGNAL OF ECONOMIC AND DIPLOMATIC RECONCILIATION
This development is seen as a significant step toward the revival of civil air traffic, which has been suspended for a long time between Turkey and Syria. The start of flights is expected to contribute both to the revitalization of regional trade and to increased contact between peoples.
Officials emphasize that the Aleppo-Istanbul route will be a strategic connection for economic, touristic, and humanitarian transport, and note that increasing the frequency of flights is also on the agenda for the future.
