A Virgin Atlantic aircraft operating the London-Mumbai flight made an emergency landing at Diyarbakır Airport due to a passenger falling ill. Due to a technical issue with the aircraft, passengers had to spend the night in Diyarbakır.

The Airbus A350-1000, registered as G-VTEA, was en route from London Heathrow to Mumbai when it was diverted to Diyarbakır Airport after a passenger suddenly became unwell. During the nighttime landing, the aircraft made a hard touchdown, causing a technical malfunction, and was subsequently grounded at the airport.

Passengers Spent the Night in Diyarbakır

Due to the technical issue, the flight could not continue, and necessary arrangements were made for passengers to stay overnight in Diyarbakır. Technical teams will begin preparations for takeoff once the aircraft’s repairs are completed.

Efforts Underway to Resume Flight

Officials stated that the plane would resume its journey to Mumbai as soon as technical inspections were completed. The airline and local authorities took all necessary measures to ensure passengers were not inconvenienced.
