US Military Jet Lands in Moscow: Prisoner Exchange Speculations Arise

A Gulfstream C-37B business jet belonging to the US Air Force has landed in Moscow, the capital of Russia.

According to a report by Oxu.Az citing RBK, flight data was detected via the Flightradar24 service. The aircraft reportedly departed from Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, USA, on the morning of February 13, landed in Rotterdam, and then headed for Russia.

This development has been linked to the Gulfstream G650ER aircraft that landed in Moscow on February 11, which is believed to be connected to Steve Witkoff, former US President Donald Trump’s Special Envoy for the Middle East. On the same day, the White House announced that American teacher Mark Fogel, who had been imprisoned in Russia on drug trafficking charges, was released. It was reported that Fogel had returned to the US and met with Trump.

Meanwhile, it was alleged that in exchange for this release, the US government freed Alexander Vinnik, the co-founder of the BTC-e crypto exchange, who was accused of money laundering and allegedly involved in illegal transactions worth between $4 billion and $9 billion. Vinnik, a Russian citizen, reportedly arrived in Turkey on the evening of February 13 and was then transferred to Russia via another flight.

Trump announced that another unnamed American citizen would also be released.
