Blending tourism and aviation with the dynamism of sports, Corendon Airlines is strengthening its presence in the Polish market through two significant sponsorships. The airline has announced a shirt-sleeve sponsorship deal with one of Poland’s most established football clubs, Górnik Zabrze, while also partnering with the Polish Golf Association.

These new strategic partnerships were unveiled during a press conference held on 24 June at the historic Konstanty Zamoyski Palace in Warsaw. Corendon Airlines, now the official partner of Górnik Zabrze for the 2025–2027 football seasons, has also signed a cooperation agreement with the Polish Golf Association, which boasts over 7,600 licensed athletes. The partnerships, seen as a pivotal step for the development of Poland’s sports ecosystem, were introduced by Corendon Airlines Chairman Yıldıray Karaer, Górnik Zabrze board members Bartlomiej Gabrys and Michal Siara, and President of the Polish Golf Association Radosław Frańczak. The event was also supported by Türkiye’s Ambassador to Warsaw Rauf Alp Denktaş, Warsaw Promotion Counsellor Umut Aksungur, and Warsaw Commercial Counsellor Betül Büke Karaçin, reinforcing the aim to strengthen bilateral relations between Türkiye and Poland.

The shirt-sleeve sponsorship deal between Corendon Airlines and Górnik Zabrze covers the 2025/26 and 2026/27 seasons. Under the agreement, the Corendon logo will appear on the inner front of the team’s shorts. In addition, Corendon branding will be featured in stadium advertising, interview and press conference rooms, and across the club’s social media platforms. Another highlight of the partnership is the appearance of star player Lukas Podolski in two episodes of the popular YouTube show Corendon Sport Talks, watched by thousands of sports fans.
Beyond the football pitch, Corendon Airlines is also making a name for itself on the golf course. With the agreement signed with the Polish Golf Association, Corendon has become the “Official and Exclusive Airline Partner” of the organisation. Additionally, the airline has taken on title sponsorship of the “Polish Men’s Club Championship, Division 2” golf tournament, expanding its brand visibility throughout the 2025–2026 season.

“Celebrating 20 Years of Corendon Airlines”
Speaking at the press conference, Corendon Airlines Chairman Yıldıray Karaer said:
“The year 2025 is a very special one for us as we celebrate our 20th anniversary. In two decades, we’ve flown to 109 destinations and connected people across 542 different routes. We see it as our mission to bring people closer to their loved ones and destinations. Poland plays a key role in our growth strategy, and we aim to expand our services to even more destinations.”

“Sports are in Corendon’s DNA”
Highlighting the company’s long-standing commitment to sports, Karaer added:
“Since our founding, we’ve continuously supported clubs, events, and sporting federations. We are proud to partner with one of Poland’s most historic football clubs, Górnik Zabrze, for the 2025/26 and 2026/27 seasons. At the same time, our support for the Polish Golf Association enables us to further invest in the sport of golf. Through these two partnerships, we aim not only to increase brand awareness but also to strengthen our bonds with key regional communities. By uniting sports and tourism, we continue to bring a unique travel experience to Poland.”

“This partnership is a major step forward for our club”
Board members Bartlomiej Gabrys and Michal Siara from Górnik Zabrze expressed their enthusiasm:
“We view this partnership with Corendon Airlines—a respected international brand—as a significant step in the club’s development journey. Just as we have cooperated with clubs like Nürnberg, this new collaboration will play an important role in achieving our goals.”

“Our partnership with Corendon Airlines opens up great opportunities”
Radosław Frańczak, President of the Polish Golf Association, commented:
“Our collaboration with Corendon Airlines, a prominent player in sports and leisure tourism, is a milestone for Polish golf. It not only supports our national teams with training and development opportunities but also provides vital backing for grassroots sports events.”
Frańczak also emphasised Corendon’s understanding of athletes’ needs:
“Thanks to Corendon’s support, our national team will train at Gloria Hotels & Resorts in Belek, Antalya this winter—an area known for its year-round outdoor training conditions and world-class facilities. Additionally, Corendon Airlines will be the main sponsor of the Polish Men’s Club Championship, Division 2. We believe this collaboration will create a transformative impact not only on the sporting success of Polish golf but also on its organisational strength. We foresee a long-term and meaningful value creation for both sides through this partnership.”
