Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) General Manager Mehmet Demiroğlu was elected Chairman of the DEİK/Türkiye–Malaysia Business Council during the elections held as part of the DEİK Business Councils 2025 Elective Ordinary General Assembly.
In his remarks, Demiroğlu thanked the members of the business council for the trust placed in him and stated that he was honoured to assume this role.
Within the framework of the same General Assembly, the DEİK/Türkiye–Malaysia Business Council was deemed worthy of an award in the “Diaspora” category for its contributions to the development of economic, trade and institutional relations between Türkiye and Malaysia. The award was regarded as a concrete indication of the sustainable and on-the-ground collaborations established between the two countries.
In his statement, Mehmet Demiroğlu expressed his thanks, particularly to Minister of Trade Prof. Dr Ömer Bolat and DEİK Chairman Nail Olpak, as well as to the DEİK family, business council members and all stakeholders, for their support of the vision of commercial diplomacy.
In the new term, the aim is to further strengthen Türkiye–Malaysia economic relations, increase cooperation in strategic sectors, particularly the defence industry, and develop mutual investment opportunities.
Demiroğlu wished the new term to be beneficial for Türkiye, the business world and the economic relations between the two countries.
