Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), one of Turkey’s leading defense and aerospace organizations, and EMBRAER S.A., one of Brazil’s prominent aviation companies, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as part of a strategic partnership. The agreement was signed on the first day of the LAAD 2025 Defense Exhibition, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Turkey and Brazil Unite Their Strengths in Defense and Aerospace
The signing ceremony was attended by Turkey’s Deputy Minister of National Defense, Şuay Alpay, and Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, M. Kasım Gönüllü, on behalf of the Republic of Turkey. Speaking at the event, Şuay Alpay emphasized that Turkey continues to enhance its global influence in the defense industry in line with the Century of Türkiye vision.
In his statement, Alpay said:
“Under the great leadership of our President, we continue our march toward the vision and goals of the Century of Türkiye. Today, we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding between EMBRAER, Brazil’s aerospace giant, and TUSAŞ, Turkey’s rising aviation star. This agreement covers significant collaborations in aircraft design and production, R&D and engineering partnerships, component manufacturing, and structural elements. We can clearly state that there is a greater potential for cooperation between Turkey and Brazil.”
Scope and Objectives of the Agreement
As part of this strategic partnership:
