Singapore Takes First Place
In the Henley & Partners index, which ranks passports based on the number of destinations accessible without a visa, Singapore leads by offering visa-free access to 195 out of 227 global destinations. Overtaking countries such as Japan, Germany, Italy, Spain, and France, which shared the top spot in 2024, Singapore pulled ahead of these nations.
Japan ranks second with visa-free access to 193 destinations, while Germany, Spain, France, Finland, South Korea, and Italy share the third spot, with passport holders enjoying visa-free access to 192 destinations.

The Turkish passport provides visa-free access to 116 countries, placing it just behind countries like Moldova and Georgia in the rankings. Venezuela ranks 45th, while Moldova and Georgia share 44th place.
UAE’s Significant Climb
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has achieved a remarkable rise in the index, gaining visa-free access to 72 new destinations over the past decade. With access to 185 destinations in total, it ranks as one of the biggest climbers and is positioned just behind the United States, which allows visa-free access to 186 destinations.
Decline of the United States
The United States has experienced one of the steepest declines in the index over the past decade, dropping 22 places. With its passport granting visa-free access to 186 destinations, the U.S. no longer enjoys the dominant position it once held.
