Çukurova International Airport, strategically located for Türkiye’s eastern and southeastern regions, is boosting the region’s trade capacity with a significant logistics investment. Serving as a gateway to the world for the Çukurova Region—including the provinces of Adana, Mersin, Osmaniye, Niğde, and Hatay—the Turkish Cargo Çukurova Cargo Facility has officially commenced operations.
With its capacity and service infrastructure, the new facility stands as the second largest cargo terminal in Türkiye.

112 Countries, 200 Destinations: Regional Products Reach the World
With the launch of the Turkish Cargo Çukurova Cargo Facility, high-value and specially handled products such as:
-
Fresh fruits and vegetables
-
Fish, crab, and seafood
-
Cut flowers
-
Textiles and fabrics
-
Veterinary vaccines and pharmaceuticals
-
Ship spare parts
can now be shipped to 112 countries and 200 destinations under faster and more competitive conditions.
The announcement noted that 44% of shipments consist of special cargo, underscoring the facility’s focus on high-value, specialised freight.

25,000-Ton Capacity Achieved—With Room to Grow
With the addition of the new facility, the airport’s total cargo handling capacity has reached 25,000 tonnes. Designed with a modular structure, the terminal also allows for future capacity expansions. By increasing warehouse and cargo acceptance areas from 9,500 to 11,000 square metres, the airport has significantly expanded its operational volume.

A Strong Boost to the Regional Economy and Employment
The investment is expected to not only increase foreign trade volume but also enhance local employment and logistics infrastructure. Considering the region’s strong agricultural, industrial, and export potential, Turkish Cargo’s investment is seen as a pivotal step in transforming Çukurova into a key logistics hub.
With its new cargo terminal, Çukurova International Airport aims to make a substantial contribution not only to the region but also to Türkiye’s overall foreign trade performance.
