Turkish Cargo and TIM Offer Exporters Up to 41% Discount on Air Freight

The air cargo brand of Turkish Airlines, Turkish Cargo, and the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) have renewed their special air freight discount protocol for exporters for the sixth time. With the new agreement, Turkish exporters will be able to ship their products to 37 destinations in 25 countries with discounts of up to 41%.

The signing ceremony for the renewed protocol took place at the Turkish Airlines Headquarters VIP Lounge in Istanbul, with Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, and TİM President Mustafa Gültepe in attendance. The collaboration aims to provide Turkish exporters with faster, safer, and more cost-effective access to global markets.

“Significant Advantage in Logistics Costs with the Campaign”

Speaking at the ceremony, Ahmet Bolat noted that the scope of the campaign has been expanded this year:

“Our exporters will be able to reach 37 different locations in 25 countries with discounts of up to 41% on general cargo and up to 37% on perishable goods. This will not only enhance their competitive edge but also ensure safe and timely delivery.”

The renewed campaign will be valid from 10 March to 31 August 2025.

TİM President Gültepe: “Turkish Airlines is Our Strategic Partner for Accessing New Markets”

Mustafa Gültepe, President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly, highlighted the growing share of air transport in exports and made the following statements:

“In 2024, exports by air increased by 45% to reach 244,000 tonnes. In terms of value, this represents a volume of $26 billion. For products that are perishable, delicate, and high in added value, air cargo has become indispensable. Turkish Airlines’ global logistics network is a major asset for our exporters in this regard.”

Gültepe also stated that, despite additional tariffs imposed by the US, there are still significant opportunities for Turkish exporters.

Turkish Products Gain Strength in Global Markets

Thanks to the renewed protocol, Turkish exporters will:

  • Increase customer satisfaction through faster delivery

  • Strengthen their competitiveness with lower costs

  • Reach wider markets with perishable and time-sensitive products

  • Gain access to strategic locations through Turkish Airlines’ network in over 150 countries

Strengthening the Wings of Trade

At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat and Mustafa Gültepe signed the cooperation protocol, once again formalising this well-established strategic partnership.
