Turkish Airlines (THY) has once again been recognised as the sector leader at the “Champions of Export” awards ceremony, organised by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade. The award was presented by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines.

Ahmet Bolat expressed his pride in receiving the award, stating:
“It is a great honour to receive this award on behalf of our sector from our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, at this meaningful ceremony hosted by TİM and held under the auspices of our Ministry of Trade. Despite global challenges, our country achieved a total export volume of $377 billion in 2024—an impressive accomplishment. Playing an active role in this success is both a source of pride and a significant responsibility for us.”

Turkish Airlines continues to make a strong impression not only through passenger transportation but also through its robust performance in service exports. With a contribution of $18 billion in service exports, THY delivers high added value to the Turkish economy. At the same time, the airline supports goods exporters by facilitating access to global markets via air cargo transportation.

Referring to Turkey’s 2028 export targets—$375 billion in goods and $200 billion in services—Bolat emphasised:
“As Turkish Airlines, we will further increase our support on the path toward these targets. While strengthening our leadership in service exports, we will continue enhancing the logistical support we provide to our exporters.”

Bolat concluded by thanking President Erdoğan and the relevant ministers for their visionary contributions to the export ecosystem, and wished continued success to all exporters.
