Turkish Airlines (THY) has announced the launch of ‘TKCONNECT,’ a distribution platform that will provide travel agencies with exclusive content and services.
According to a statement from the THY Press Office, the TKCONNECT platform includes a range of privileges for travel agencies, such as differentiated ticket prices and special promotions. The platform will offer advantageous rates for additional services like excess baggage, seat selection, and special equipment.
Ahmet Olmuştur, Deputy General Manager of THY, commented on the new initiative, stating, “TKCONNECT will be a significant milestone in enhancing passenger experiences and supporting our commercial partners. As THY, we are offering TKCONNECT to our business partners and travel agencies as a result of our goal to provide advanced technology in a user-friendly manner.”
TKCONNECT provides travel agencies with a user-friendly web-based reservation portal that simplifies booking, ticketing, and post-booking services, offering real-time pricing, inventory, and additional service opportunities.
Travel agencies not yet integrated into TKCONNECT will still be able to access THY’s existing content through Global Distribution Systems (GDS). However, as of October 1, 2024, additional fees will be applied for bookings made via GDS in terms of distribution costs.
Travel agencies interested in TKCONNECT can obtain detailed information through the ndc.thy.com website or from THY sales teams.
