The Turkish Airlines (THY) flight TK 2817, which took off from Trabzon at 08:40 AM heading to Istanbul, was forced to return to Trabzon about 10 minutes after takeoff due to a technical malfunction.
According to the news from 61saat.com, the pilot, who had been circling in the air due to an issue in the engine section, announced to the passengers, “We are returning to Trabzon due to operational reasons.” After the decision to return was made, the plane safely made an emergency landing at Trabzon Airport at around 09:10 AM.
After the passengers disembarked, technical teams began a detailed inspection of the aircraft. Whether the plane will continue its flight or not will be determined after the necessary checks are completed.
