Turkish Airlines (THY) has announced its consolidated traffic results for the January–May 2025 period. According to the data covering operations of the main brand and AJet (formerly AnadoluJet), THY has maintained its robust operational growth, securing a prominent position in global aviation.
3.7% Increase in Passenger Numbers: 34 Million Passengers Carried
In the January–May 2025 period, the total number of passengers increased by 3.7% compared to the same period last year, rising from 33.9 million to 34 million. During this time, international-to-international transfer passenger numbers rose by 8.7% to reach 13.6 million.
Load Factor Reaches 81.2%
The total passenger load factor rose by 0.8 percentage points to 81.2%. International flights achieved a load factor of 81.0%, while domestic flights reached 83.5%.
Available Seat Kilometres Up by 5.2%
In the first five months of 2025, Available Seat Kilometres (ASK) increased by 5.2% to 105.2 billion kilometres. During the same period, Revenue Passenger Kilometres (RPK) rose by 6.3% to 85.5 billion kilometres.
Cargo Performance Also on the Rise: 836 Thousand Tonnes Carried
Continuing its growth in cargo and mail transportation, THY carried 836 thousand tonnes with a 2.7% increase. Notable growth was observed in the Far East and Africa regions.
Fleet Reaches 484 Aircraft, Route Network Expands with New Destinations
The number of aircraft in THY’s fleet increased by 6.1% compared to the same period last year, reaching 484. The number of destinations served rose from 348 to 353, reflecting further expansion of its international network.
Strong Regional Performance
