Turkish Airlines (THY) reached the highest number of daily flights in its history with 1,369 scheduled operations. THY CEO Bilal Ekşi shared the historic success with the public through his social media account.
“A New Record Achieved”
In his post, Ekşi stated:
“Let’s say Maşallah. A new record has been achieved. Today, with 1,369 scheduled TK flights, we will break the record for the highest number of flights to date. The previous record was 1,292 flights on the eve of the holiday. Türkiye is growing, and Turkish Airlines is flying high.”
This statement underlined not only Turkish Airlines’ success but also Türkiye’s global aspirations in the aviation sector.
Previous Holiday Record Surpassed
The highest number of daily flights previously recorded was 1,292 on the eve of a major holiday. However, the new planning of 1,369 flights highlights Turkish Airlines’ growing operational capacity and effective fleet management.
“THY Flying High”
This success was achieved through Turkish Airlines’ expanding fleet and newly launched destinations. Aviation experts emphasize that the airline has solidified its regional leadership with a vast flight network spanning Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
A Stronger Role in Global Aviation
Reaching this number of daily flights has positioned Turkish Airlines not only as Türkiye’s leading airline but also as one of the busiest carriers in Europe and surrounding regions. This development also strengthens Istanbul Airport’s claim as a major global transfer hub.
