Turkish Airlines Returns to the Golf Arena as the Title Sponsor of the Turkish Airlines Open

Turkish Airlines (THY), the airline that flies to more countries than any other, is reaffirming its strong presence in the golf world in collaboration with the Turkish Golf Federation. After a six-year hiatus, THY has announced its return as the title sponsor of the prestigious Turkish Airlines Open.

The tournament will take place from 8th to 11th May 2025 at Antalya’s Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort and will be a key stop on the DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai series.

Sponsorship Signing Ceremony

The sponsorship agreement signing ceremony was held at Turkish Airlines’ Headquarters. Attendees included THY CEO Bilal Ekşi, Turkish Golf Federation Vice Chairman Nihat Özdemir, DP World Tour Tournament Operations Director Mark Casey, and other senior executives.

Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi:

“As Turkish Airlines, we are committed to connecting people and cultures worldwide through our pursuit of excellence in sports. With this dedication, we are delighted to take another step in supporting sports and athletes through the Turkish Airlines Open.”

Turkish Golf Federation Vice Chairman Nihat Özdemir:

“With the Turkish Airlines Open in May, a leg of Europe’s biggest professional golf tour is returning to our country. We extend our gratitude to Turkish Airlines for their invaluable contribution as the tournament’s title sponsor.”

DP World Tour Tournament Operations Director Mark Casey:

“We are pleased to welcome Turkish Airlines back as our championship partner with the return of the Turkish Airlines Open to the Race to Dubai. We look forward to an unforgettable week in Antalya.”

World-Famous Golfers Gather in Antalya

Between 2013 and 2019, Turkish Airlines, as the title sponsor of the tournament, hosted golf superstars such as Tiger Woods, Sergio Garcia, Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, and Rory McIlroy in Antalya. Now, this prestigious event is making a strong return to the global sporting calendar.

Additionally, the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup, the world’s largest amateur golf tournament organised by THY since 2013, continues to bring golf enthusiasts together, with this year’s edition being held across 73 countries and 117 destinations.
