Turkish Airlines has announced its traffic results for September 2025. The company achieved significant growth compared to the same period last year, increasing its passenger numbers by 12.9%. The national flag carrier transported a total of 8.7 million passengers in September, raising its load factor to 84.6%.
Strong Increase in International Traffic
The number of international passengers rose by 9.7% to reach 5.49 million, while transfer passengers between international destinations saw a remarkable 14.5% increase. Africa (15.6%) and the Middle East (15.2%) routes were the key contributors to this growth.
19.1% Growth on Domestic Routes
Domestic passenger numbers were recorded at 3.18 million, marking a 19.1% increase. In September, the total number of destinations reached 355, while the fleet size expanded to 506 aircraft.
Ongoing Growth in Cargo Transportation
The upward trend in cargo and mail transportation continued as well. In September, the amount of cargo carried rose by 7.4%, reaching 181,618 tonnes.
69.3 Million Passengers Between January and September 2025
During the first nine months of the year, Turkish Airlines carried a total of 69.4 million passengers, representing a 6.6% increase compared to the same period last year. The number of transfer passengers between international destinations rose by 10.7% to 26.3 million, while the load factor reached 82.9%. In the same period, cargo and mail transportation increased by 5.6% to 1.59 million tonnes.
With its extensive flight network and expanding fleet capacity, Turkish Airlines continues its global growth. Operating flights to 355 destinations, the company maintains its double-digit growth target in both passenger and cargo transportation for the remainder of the year.
