In 2012, Turkish Airlines ranked 13th globally in passenger capacity. However, through strategic investments and expansion plans over the years, the airline climbed to 3rd place worldwide and 1st in Europe, with a market share of 3.4%.
A Global Power in Cargo Transport
Turkish Airlines has also demonstrated significant growth in cargo transportation. While the airline held the 26th position globally in 2012 with a 1.3% market share, by 2024, it had soared to 3rd place with a 5.7% market share, solidifying its status as a major player in the global air cargo industry.
