Turkish Airlines Pilot Dies in Traffic Accident in Adana

In Adana’s Seyhan district, a collision between a service vehicle transporting Turkish Airlines (THY) staff and a car resulted in the tragic death of THY pilot Hasan Eren (40).

The accident occurred at the intersection of Yeşiloba Mahallesi Öğretmenler Boulevard and Kıyıboyu Street. A service vehicle with license plate 01 ATY 115, driven by Murat K. (45), collided with a car with license plate 31 APL 081, driven by Emirhan Ö. (19). Emergency health and police teams were dispatched to the scene following reports from locals.

9 Injured Taken to Hospital

Following the accident, nine people—three from the car and six from the minibus—were injured and transported to nearby hospitals via ambulances. Tragically, THY pilot Hasan Eren was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.

Drivers in Custody

Both drivers, Murat K. and Emirhan Ö., were detained following the incident. An investigation is ongoing.
