Turkish Airlines Partner Air Albania Strengthens Its Fleet, Leases Aircraft from Fly2Sky

Bulgaria-based aircraft leasing company Fly2Sky has entered into a new collaboration with Albania’s flag carrier, Air Albania, for the summer season. The company announced that it has provided Air Albania with one aircraft, including crew, maintenance, and insurance (ACMI) services.

In its statement, Fly2Sky reported that Air Albania has already integrated the leased aircraft into its operations.

According to its official website, Air Albania has a small but strategic fleet of three aircraft. Last month, the airline announced the launch of a new direct route between the Albanian capital, Tirana, and Geneva, Switzerland. Its current destinations include Istanbul and Ankara, as well as Bologna, Bergamo, Milan, Rome, Verona, and Treviso in Italy.

Founded in Sofia in 2016, Fly2Sky operates with a fleet of Airbus A320 series aircraft configured for charter flights and ACMI services.

Turkish Airlines (THY) owns 49% of the company. The remaining shares are held by the private Albanian firm MDN Investment (41%) and the state-controlled air traffic authority Alb Control (10%).
