Turkish Airlines (THY) has inaugurated its largest international lounge outside Istanbul at Japan’s Tokyo Narita International Airport. This marks THY’s seventh international lounge investment.
Initially spanning 800 square meters with a capacity of 105 guests, the lounge aims to expand to 1,500 square meters in its second phase. Located in Narita Airport’s Terminal 1 South Wing, Satellite 4, next to Gate 47, it operates from 07:30 to 21:45.
Lounge Features and Services
The new lounge offers a variety of amenities to enhance passenger comfort, including:
- Shower rooms,
- Rest areas,
- Private workspaces,
- Scenic lounge chairs,
- VIP room, and
- Baby care room.
For dining, guests can enjoy flavors from Turkish, Japanese, and Far Eastern cuisines. Notably, this lounge is the first Turkish Airlines facility outside Istanbul to feature a Turkish pide oven. The design integrates cultural elements such as Japan’s iconic Mount Fuji and traditional Turkish ebru art.
Who Can Access the Lounge?
Eligible passengers for the new Narita lounge include:
- Miles&Smiles Elite Plus and Elite cardholders,
- Miles&Smiles Elite Corporate cardholders,
- Star Alliance Gold members,
- Business class passengers flying with Star Alliance member airlines.
THY’s Expanding Global Lounge Network
The new Tokyo Narita lounge joins Turkish Airlines’ growing lounge network, following the openings in Nairobi, Moscow, Miami, Washington, Bangkok, and New York JFK since November 2022.
