Turkish Airlines Move Towards Peru: Are Flights Starting?

Turkish Airlines (THY) is preparing to expand its flight network in South America. Peru’s Deputy Minister of Tourism, Madeleine Burns Vidaurrazaga, announced that THY could start flights to Peru in the first half of 2025.

Speaking at the “Routes Americas 2025” forum held in the Bahamas, which hosted over 1,000 airline industry representatives, Vidaurrazaga stated that the approval of THY’s flights to Peru is a possibility.

THY Chairman Ahmet Bolat had previously mentioned in his statements that Lima was on the airline’s radar, reiterating this in his assessment at the end of 2024.

If the process progresses positively, THY’s presence in South America will strengthen, and the Istanbul-Lima route will enhance tourism and trade relations between the two countries.
