Turkish Airlines’ Major Fleet Move: 5 New Airbus A321neos on the Way!

Turkish Airlines (THY) has taken another significant step to expand and modernize its fleet. The airline has signed an agreement with SMBC Aviation Capital, one of the world’s leading aircraft leasing companies, to lease five new Airbus A321neo aircraft.

With this agreement, the total number of Airbus A321neo planes delivered by SMBC Aviation Capital to THY since 2022 will reach 20. The new aircraft are expected to be delivered in 2025.

Barry Flannery, Chief Commercial Officer of SMBC Aviation Capital, commented on the deal: “This transaction is a testament to our long-standing and strong partnership with Turkish Airlines.
