Turkish Airlines (THY) has announced a significant expansion plan for its services to Tanzania, starting in June 2025.
New Flight Plans and Details:
- Kilimanjaro International Airport: Weekly flights will increase from four to 14 (twice daily).
- Zanzibar: Weekly flights will rise from nine to 14 (twice daily).
- Dar es Salaam: Weekly flights will grow from seven to 10.
These new flight arrangements aim to enhance international access to Tanzania’s top tourist destinations, including Serengeti, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar.
The Tanzania Association of Tour Operators welcomed the expansion decision, stating that the increased flights hold great potential to:
