Turkish Airlines (THY) has taken a significant step in line with its growth strategies by increasing the capital of its subsidiary, AJet Aviation Inc., by 15 billion lira.
A statement regarding the matter was published on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). The announcement included the following:
“The capital of our wholly owned subsidiary, AJet Aviation Inc., has been increased by 15 billion lira in line with the company’s growth strategies.”
Approval for the Transfer of 5 Aircraft to AJet
In addition to the capital increase, THY has made another critical decision to support AJet’s operational activities. According to the Board of Directors’ decision, five Boeing B737-800 aircraft owned by Turkish Airlines will be transferred to AJet as in-kind capital, following the necessary approvals within the framework of the Commercial Air Transport Operations Regulation.
Turkish Airlines continues to strengthen its subsidiaries and take steps toward maintaining its leadership in the global aviation market.
