Turkish Airlines (THY) and Bahrain’s flag carrier Gulf Air have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen their cooperation in the aviation sector. The agreement, signed at a ceremony held at THY Headquarters, covers comprehensive collaboration in many areas of aviation, including strategic partnerships, loyalty programmes, ground services, and potential joint ventures.
Cultural and Economic Interaction to Grow Stronger
With this agreement, the two airlines aim not only for mutual growth but also to foster the development of cultural and economic relations between Türkiye and the Middle East. In addition to the existing direct flights between Manama and Istanbul, the evaluation of new routes is expected to expand the flight networks of both airlines.

Commenting on the cooperation, Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi said:
“This partnership with Gulf Air marks an important milestone in strengthening the relationship between our two companies. As the airline flying to the most countries in the world, we continue to provide more travel opportunities for our passengers. We believe this agreement will pave the way for long-term collaborations between Türkiye and Bahrain.”

Gulf Air Group CEO Jeffrey Goh evaluated the agreement as follows:
