Turkish Airlines (THY) and Bahrain’s flag carrier Gulf Air have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen their cooperation in the aviation sector. The agreement, signed at a ceremony held at THY Headquarters, covers comprehensive collaboration in many areas of aviation, including strategic partnerships, loyalty programmes, ground services, and potential joint ventures.

Cultural and Economic Interaction to Grow Stronger

With this agreement, the two airlines aim not only for mutual growth but also to foster the development of cultural and economic relations between Türkiye and the Middle East. In addition to the existing direct flights between Manama and Istanbul, the evaluation of new routes is expected to expand the flight networks of both airlines.

Commenting on the cooperation, Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi said:

Gulf Air Group CEO Jeffrey Goh evaluated the agreement as follows:
