Turkish Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in India! 299 Passengers Stranded for Hours

A Turkish Airlines flight bound for Colombo was forced to make an emergency landing in Thiruvananthapuram, India, due to severe weather conditions. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, left 299 passengers stranded onboard for hours.

Flight Forced to Change Course

The aircraft landed in Thiruvananthapuram at 6:51 AM. Despite improving weather conditions in Colombo later in the day, the flight could not proceed due to the crew reaching their maximum duty hours.

Civil Aviation Rules Prevent Further Flights

According to international civil aviation regulations, crews are not permitted to exceed the maximum allowable working hours. As a result, a backup crew was required for the flight to resume. However, the absence of an available backup crew led to an extended delay for the passengers onboard.

Passengers Express Frustration

Passengers stranded on the plane expressed dissatisfaction with the prolonged wait. Despite the efforts of Turkish Airlines crew and airport staff, the delays caused anxiety and discontent among the passengers.
