The conflict between Iran and Israel and the resulting regional security risks are prompting airlines to take new measures. Turkish Airlines (THY) has announced that, due to the escalating tensions, it is extending the validity of flexible ticket rights granted to passengers on flights to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon until 31 July 2025.
In the announcement shared via the airline’s official social media accounts, it was stated that, for tickets issued on or before 13 June 2025, passengers holding bookings between 13 June and 31 July 2025 are entitled to free changes and refunds.

Security Concerns Impacting the Aviation Sector
The escalating military tension in the Middle East is directly affecting civil aviation operations in the region. Following Israel’s operations targeting Iran, significant disruptions have occurred in the airspace of Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon. In response to these developments, THY continues to offer flexible travel options to prevent inconvenience for its passengers.
