Turkish Airlines (THY) continues to expand its flight network across Asia. With the launch of flights to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, the airline aims to create new opportunities for both tourism and business.
Phnom Penh Flights Set to Launch
Starting on 10 December, Turkish Airlines will become the 7th country served by the airline in Southeast Asia, with Phnom Penh as its 11th destination in the region. The new route is expected to contribute positively to Cambodia’s growing economy and trade relations between Turkey and Cambodia. The flights, operated with a stopover in Bangkok, will run three times a week: departing from Istanbul to Phnom Penh on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and returning from Phnom Penh to Istanbul on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Competitive Ticket Prices
Tickets purchased by 31 July will offer travel from Istanbul to Phnom Penh starting at $659, and from Phnom Penh to Istanbul starting at $649, for journeys until 30 June 2026.
New Opportunities on the Horizon
Commenting on the launch, Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee, Prof. Dr Ahmet Bolat, stated: “As Turkish Airlines, we are continuously expanding our network in Asia and strengthening our connections to strategic points in the region. The Phnom Penh flights mark a significant step in advancing this goal. Our flights to Cambodia will bring new opportunities for both tourism and business. Moreover, as the only carrier flying to this destination from Europe, we will further solidify our leadership in the region.”
The new route will enhance Turkish Airlines’ global network, reinforcing its role as a bridge between Europe and Asia, while boosting Phnom Penh’s international connections.
