Turkish Airlines (THY) has shared its traffic results for February 2025 with the public. According to the data, the airline recorded a 0.8% increase in total passenger numbers, carrying 14.9 million passengers.
Load Factor Increased
The passenger load factor rose by 0.6 percentage points compared to the same period last year, reaching 82.1%. The load factor for international flights stood at 81.6%, while domestic flights saw a load factor of 85.4%.
Regional Passenger Distribution: Far East Stands Out
On a regional basis, the highest passenger growth was observed in the Far East, with a 7.2% increase. Passenger numbers grew by 2.1% in North America and 2.1% in the Middle East, while the European market experienced a 2.2% decline.
Increase in Aircraft Fleet
The number of aircraft in the THY fleet increased by 6% compared to the same period last year, reaching 477. Seat capacity also rose by 6.8%, totalling 98,364.
Cargo Transport Remained Stable
In February 2025, THY transported a total of 148,535 tonnes of cargo and mail. This figure represents a 0.5% decrease compared to the same period last year.
