THY Pakistan Flights on 8–9 May Cancelled for Security Reasons

Turkish Airlines (THY) has announced the cancellation of its scheduled flights to Lahore and Islamabad on 8 and 9 May due to rising political tensions in South Asia. In a public statement, the airline also offered alternative solutions to minimise disruption for passengers.

The statement from THY read as follows:

“Due to political unrest in Asia, the following flights to Islamabad and Lahore on Thursday, 8 May and Friday, 9 May have been cancelled:

TK-714 Istanbul – Lahore
TK-715 Lahore – Istanbul
TK-710 Istanbul – Islamabad
TK-711 Islamabad – Istanbul
TK-750 Istanbul – Islamabad
TK-751 Islamabad – Istanbul

You can make changes to your travel plans via our website or mobile app. Thank you for your understanding.”

Due to recent diplomatic and military escalations in the region, several airlines have revised their flight routes. THY stated that its decisions were made for security reasons.

Passengers affected by the cancellations are entitled to make changes or request refunds free of charge.
