Turkish Airlines (THY) has announced that it is the official airline sponsor of the 132nd Argentine Open Polo Championship, one of the most prestigious polo events in the world.
The tournament, to be held from 1 November to 6 December 2025 at Campo Argentino de Polo in Buenos Aires, will bring together the world’s top 10 teams and elite polo players.
This collaboration aims to enhance Turkish Airlines’ global brand perception by emphasising shared values such as excellence, cultural connection, and sporting elegance.
As the official airline sponsor of the tournament, Turkish Airlines aims to contribute to the international promotion of the sport while increasing brand visibility in the Argentine and South American markets.
A New Step in the Global Sports Arena
As part of its sports sponsorship strategy, Turkish Airlines is expanding its partnerships with premium sporting events by taking a step into the world of polo—alongside its existing involvement in football, basketball, tennis, and golf.
Within this scope, the 132nd Argentine Open Polo Championship presented by VISA features Galicia as the main sponsor, VISA as the presenting partner, and Turkish Airlines as the official airline sponsor.
The agreement marks a historic milestone as Turkish Airlines’ first sponsorship experience in the world of polo.
