Airbus and Airlines’ Passenger Records

In 2024, airlines saw record levels of passenger traffic in parallel with increased Airbus deliveries:

  • Delta Air Lines: Served more than 200 million passengers.
  • United Airlines: Reached its highest number with 180 million passengers.
  • IndiGo: Carried 10 million passengers in a single month, marking a historic achievement for Indian aviation.
  • Turkish Airlines: Transported 83.4 million passengers and continued its global growth.
  • easyJet: Grew by 8% year-over-year, carrying 89.7 million passengers.

Airbus Maintains Advantage Over Rival Boeing

2024 was a challenging year for Boeing. Due to supply chain issues, machinist strikes, and technical difficulties, the company delivered only 333 aircraft. This number is less than half of Airbus’ deliveries and represents a 33% decrease from Boeing’s 2023 deliveries. Meanwhile, Airbus managed to maintain its advantage over Boeing, thanks to high demand for the A321 family and increased production capacity.
