In 2024, Baykar became Turkey’s top defence and aerospace exporter, according to the list released by the Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB). The top 10 companies and their export figures showcase Turkey’s growing success in the defence sector.
The Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB) has unveiled the top defence and aerospace exporters of 2024. Leading the list, Baykar secured the top position with $1.8 billion in exports, while the other companies in the top 10 reflect Turkey’s impressive progress in defence exports.
Leaders in Defence and Aerospace Exports
According to SSB data, the top defence and aerospace exporters of 2024 were:
- Baykar: $1.8 billion
- TUSAŞ Aviation: $750 million
- ASFAT: $644 million
- Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE): $610 million
- ARCA Defence: $600 million
- TUSAŞ Engine: $390 million
- ASELSAN: $217 million
- RAM Foreign Trade (Otokar): $193 million
- ROKETSAN: $179 million
- Samsun Yurt Defence: $166 million
The announced export figures do not include services and other sales.

SSB President Haluk Görgün highlighted the sector’s achievements in a statement on social media platform X. Görgün stated:
“Today, we proudly announce the top 10 companies leading Turkey’s defence and aerospace exports. These firms are a reflection of collective intelligence, synergy, and a culture of innovation.”
Expressing gratitude to those who contributed to this success, Görgün added:
“I extend my thanks to all Turkish defence industry companies that are transforming global warfare doctrines with their technological advancements.
