As part of the multinational TUI travel group, TUI Airways has opened applications for its 2025 Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) student program. This fully funded training opportunity offers aspiring aviators an excellent start to their aviation careers.
Program Details and Training Phases
The TUI MPL Cadet Program is specifically designed to train new pilots for its Boeing 737 fleet. The program spans approximately 18 months and includes the following stages:
- ATPL Theoretical Knowledge Training:
- Duration: 6.5 months
- A mix of computer-based training (CBT), virtual classroom sessions, and in-person learning.
- Covers 13 theoretical exams.
- Practical Training Stages:
- Initial flight skills training.
- Introduction to multi-crew operations and instrument flying.
- Intermediate flight training in a Boeing 737 simulator.
- Advanced flight training and Boeing 737 Type Rating.
- Circuit Training:
- Hands-on flight training on a Boeing 737.
Funding and Support
The TUI MPL Cadet Program is fully funded and includes:
- Training and course fees.
- All licensing and examination fees.
- Accommodation during away-from-home training phases.
- Uniform and required equipment (e.g., manuals, iPad).
- Costs for obtaining and renewing the initial Class 1 Medical Certificate.
Note: Personal travel, meals, and living expenses are the candidate’s responsibility.
Salary and Repayment Terms
After completing the training, cadets will join TUI as Cadet Pilots and be placed on a four-year salary plan:
- Starting salary: £37,751 per year (post-deductions).
- Salaries will increase based on performance.
- Training costs will be repaid within the salary plan.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Age: Minimum 18 years old by September 1, 2025.
- Education:
- At least 5 GCSEs, including Mathematics, English, and a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Grades: Minimum B/6 in Mathematics, C/4 in other subjects.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English.
- Residency: Right to live and work in the UK indefinitely.
- Passport: Valid passport with the ability to travel worldwide.
- Physical Requirements:
- Minimum height of 1.58m.
- Ability to swim 25 meters.
- Able to pass a CAA Class 1 Medical Examination.
