In Bursa’s Yenişehir district, a training aircraft belonging to FENİX Aviation made a safe emergency landing near Subaşı village due to a technical issue encountered during a short navigation flight. No injuries or environmental damage were reported.
According to information received, the training aircraft with tail registration TC-UCL took off from Yenişehir Airport at 08:47 on the morning of April 16. However, at 09:02, the aircraft performed an unplanned but controlled emergency landing near Subaşı village following a technical malfunction during the flight.
In a written statement from FENİX Aviation, it was noted that the incident occurred during PPL (Private Pilot License) training, and the student pilot executed emergency procedures flawlessly, ensuring a safe landing.
“Our student pilot successfully utilized the knowledge and skills acquired throughout their training, executing a safe landing after the aircraft experienced a technical malfunction. Initial assessments show no issues with the landing gear. A conclusive technical evaluation will be made following detailed inspections,” the statement said.
The airline also emphasized that the student pilot was in good health and no material damage occurred in the surrounding area.
