A training aircraft that took off from Bursa’s Yenişehir Airport for a morning training flight crashed near the town of Dodurga in Bozüyük district, Bilecik, while attempting an emergency landing due to a technical malfunction. The pilot, a 22-year-old woman identified as D.K., was injured in the accident.
Technical Malfunction Causes Mid-Air Crisis
The young pilot attempted a controlled landing on an open field after a malfunction occurred during the flight. However, the aircraft reportedly lost control during the landing and flipped over.
Immediate Response on the Scene
Residents of Dodurga who witnessed the crash promptly notified the 112 Emergency Call Centre. Medical teams were dispatched to the scene and provided first aid before transferring the pilot to Bozüyük State Hospital. Authorities stated that the pilot is in good condition and not in any life-threatening danger.
Investigation Underway
Following the crash, gendarmerie teams secured the area and launched an investigation. The cause of the technical malfunction will be determined after a detailed technical analysis.
