Turkish Airlines (THY) has added another next-generation wide-body aircraft from its Airbus order to its fleet. The Airbus A350-900, registered as TC-LHB, took off from the production facility in Toulouse, France, and successfully landed at Istanbul Airport.
A350 Fleet Reaches 25
With this latest delivery, the number of Airbus A350-900 aircraft in THY’s fleet has risen to 25. THY considers the A350-900 a strategic investment, particularly for its long-haul routes, due to its fuel efficiency and passenger comfort.
Strengthening the Fleet and Expanding the Flight Network
Turkish Airlines officials state that acquiring wide-body aircraft is part of the airline’s fleet modernisation strategy and plays a crucial role in further expanding its global flight network.
THY’s recent consecutive aircraft deliveries are also seen as an indication of its plans to increase capacity, particularly on routes to America, Asia, and the Far East.
