Eskişehir-based TUSAŞ Engine Industries Inc. (TEI) has been honoured with the “Supplier of the Year” award by GE Aerospace, one of the giants of the global aviation industry. Presented at the 2025 Supplier Symposium held in Cincinnati, USA, the award recognises TEI’s high-quality standards, engineering excellence, and on-time delivery performance on a global scale.
In a statement issued by TEI, the company highlighted that its outstanding performance within the global aviation ecosystem has once again been reaffirmed with this prestigious award. This marks the third time in the past decade that TEI has received the “Best Supplier” award. The company had previously been recognised with similar accolades at the supplier symposiums held in Paris in 2017 and Shanghai in 2018 by GE Aerospace, SAFRAN, and CFM International.
Strategic Contribution to the World’s Largest Aircraft Engine Manufacturers
The statement underlined TEI’s strategic partnership with GE Aerospace, spanning over 40 years. The company is a key supplier for some of the world’s most widely used civil aviation engine programmes, including LEAP, GEnx, and GE9X. Moreover, TEI plays a critical role in the CFM RISE engine programme, which is at the forefront of sustainable aviation technologies.
As of today, TEI manufactures over 2,000 parts and modules for more than 50 civil and military engine programmes, making it one of the most significant supply chains in the global aviation industry. In addition to aviation, the company also stands out with its gas turbine engines produced for maritime and industrial applications. TEI holds the title of the world’s largest supplier for the LM9000 gas turbine.
Strengthening Türkiye’s National Goals with Indigenous Engine Projects
The statement also highlighted TEI’s role in Türkiye’s national aviation ambitions, not only through its manufacturing capabilities but also through the development of indigenous engine projects. The company plays a vital role in more than 10 domestic and national engine projects led by the Defence Industry Agency. Additionally, TEI maintains its strong position in the global aviation market through its international maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services.
TEI officials announced that the company aims to continue its growth in both national and international markets, with plans to establish new collaborations in the near future.
