Technical Issue on TK203 Istanbul-Seattle Flight: Return to Istanbul

The Airbus A350 aircraft, operating Turkish Airlines (THY) flight TK203 from Istanbul to Seattle, had to return to Istanbul Airport due to a technical malfunction.

Decision to Return Near Iceland

The plane, which departed from Istanbul Airport and was scheduled to reach Seattle with a flight duration of 12 hours and 45 minutes, decided to return approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes into the flight, north of Iceland. The crew prioritized passenger safety and decided to return to Istanbul due to a technical issue detected on board.

The Airbus A350 aircraft, registered TC-LGJ, landed safely at Istanbul Airport. Turkish Airlines officials did not provide detailed information about the technical issue but announced that the aircraft had been handed over to maintenance teams for examination of the malfunction.
