TAV Airports Holding is planning a significant investment in Kazakhstan’s Almaty Airport. The company announced that the investments, scheduled to take place between 2025 and 2028, will amount to between €150-300 million. The investment will include runway and terminal renovation works, marking a major step in the modernization of Almaty Airport.
TAV Airports stated that the financing for the investment will be sourced through cash flows generated from Almaty Airport operations and project financing credit facilities. The company plans to finalize the size of the investment program during the board meeting scheduled for February 2025.
Investments in Antalya and Esenboğa Airports Continue
In addition to its investments in Almaty, TAV Airports is also pursuing major expansion projects in Turkish airports. The capacity enhancement investments at Antalya Airport are expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2025. Similarly, the capacity expansion works at Ankara Esenboğa Airport are planned to conclude by the second quarter of 2025.
TAV Airports is accelerating its investments in Almaty Airport and other projects as part of its global growth strategies. These investments aim to increase the company’s operational capacity on an international scale and enhance passenger experience.
