TAV Airports has announced that it has submitted a bid for the operation and maintenance services tender of Terminal 4 at Kuwait International Airport. In a statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (PDP), the company shared details of the Board of Directors’ decision regarding the process.
Emphasis on Confidentiality in the Tender Process
TAV Airports stated that the bid, submitted on 17 January 2025, was approved by the Board of Directors on 17 December 2024. However, the announcement was postponed in line with the Capital Markets Board’s (CMB) Communiqué on Material Events. The company explained the rationale for this decision as follows:
“The announcement of our Board of Directors’ decision dated 17 December 2024 regarding this tender was postponed to prevent any adverse impact on a confidential process, to protect the legal rights and interests of our company, and to avoid the risk of misleading investors concerning an ongoing and yet-to-be-finalised process.”
Organised by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Kuwait, the tender for Terminal 4’s operation and maintenance services holds significant importance within the regional aviation sector. TAV Airports’ participation in the tender reflects the company’s ambitions for international growth and its strategy to enhance its presence in the region.
Awaiting the Tender Results
While no details regarding the results of the bid have been disclosed, TAV Airports’ statement indicates that the process is not yet finalised. The company has assured investors that updates will be provided as developments occur.
