TAV Airports Shares Decline: Bank of America Sales Attract Attention

On Thursday, October 24, while the BIST100 index rose by 1.81%, closing at 8,872.85 points, shares of TAV Airports Holding (TAVHL) dropped by 1.06%, ending the day at 224.20 TL. Large-scale sales conducted through Bank of America contributed to the downward pressure on TAVHL shares.

Despite a general upward trend in the Istanbul Stock Exchange, TAV Airports shares closed with a loss due to heavy sales driven by Bank of America. Bank of America’s clients executed a total of 1,255,051 shares of TAVHL, with 837,878 shares sold and 417,173 shares bought. The net result was a sale of 420,705 shares at an average price of 224.283 TL. Bank of America’s sales accounted for 43% of the total daily sales volume in TAVHL, with the net sales totaling -94,356,871 TL.

Investors Seek Balance in TAVHL Shares Amid Buying and Selling Activity

In response to Bank of America’s large-scale sales, investment firms Yapı Kredi Yatırım (124,006 shares) and Ak Yatırım (120,316 shares) led in buy-side activity. Despite the heavy wave of selling during the day, these purchases provided a balancing effect, helping to limit the decline in TAVHL shares.

Market Watching for Long-Term Impact of Sales Pressure on TAVHL Shares

Investors are closely monitoring whether these large-scale sales, particularly by Bank of America, represent a long-term strategy. The continued rise of the BIST100 index, contrasted with the decline in TAVHL shares, has made the impact of the selling pressure on the market even more notable.
