TAV Airports hosted the “Women in Sales (WiSN)” event, organised by the Sales Network. The event highlighted the importance of female leadership in the business world and sales, with participation from experts across various sectors.
The opening speeches were delivered by WiSN Co-Chairs and prominent industry figures, Pegasus Airlines CEO Güliz Öztürk and Sales Network Founder Ergün Güler. The programme continued with a presentation by Erhan Ali Yılmaz, Founder of Mindful Academy – Mindfulness Training, titled “In the Light of Emotional Intelligence: The Impact of Women in Leadership.” This presentation explored the influence of emotional intelligence on leadership and the unique contributions of female leaders in the business world.
Başak Helen Taşkan, TAV Airports’ Sustainability and Business Excellence Coordinator, shared TAV Airports’ efforts in sustainability, accessibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Taşkan emphasised the company’s commitment to creating environmental and social value and outlined the tangible steps they are taking towards their sustainability goals.
Highlighted Best Practices in the Panel
In a panel moderated by TAV Airports’ Customer Experience and Communication Centre Manager Şirin Ayça Sayılır, successful examples from different sectors were discussed. Panellists included Burcu Soykurum Eray, Marketing Director for Philips Personal Health in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, and Burak Çakır, Sales Operations and Supply Chain Director at Watsons Turkey, who shared their companies’ initiatives in diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.
The “Women in Sales” event organised by the Sales Network provided a valuable platform to support the increased presence of female leaders in the business world and foster cultures of equality within companies.
